Over the past 20 years, Pierre Echard has been facilitating sustainable development, excellence and CSR in organisations and companies.

He has spent over 5 years living and working with NGOs and UN agencies in Africa and Latin America. In 2001, Pierre joined CSR Europe, as Director of its network of National Partners. He then moved on to lead the training department of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM).

 Since 2009, Pierre has been working as an independent advisor for companies and non-profit organisations in the field of sustainability, CSR, and excellence in non-profit organisations.  

In the field of education, Pierre is active in teaching sustainability and social entrepreneurship, assessing quality management in Belgian Higher Education institutions, and integrating eco-design into design higher education curricula. 

He is currently also working on projects around new economic models (particularly life cycle and circular economy approaches), as well as design thinking for social innovation.

Pierre is based in Brussels, speaks French, English and Spanish fluently, and holds a BSc. in Rural Sociology from Cornell University (USA) and an MBA from ESSEC (France).
