Over the past twenty years, Pierre Echard has been facilitating sustainable development, excellence and corporate social responsibility (CSR) in organisations and companies.
He has spent over 5 years living and working with NGOs and UN agencies in Africa and Latin America. In 2001, Echard joined CSR Europe as Director of its network of National Partners. He then moved on to lead the training department of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM).
Since 2009, Echard has been working as an independent advisor for companies and non-profit organisations in the field of sustainability, business ethics, and excellence in non-profit organisations. 
In the field of education, Echard is active in teaching sustainability and social entrepreneurship, assessing quality management in Belgian Higher Education institutions, and integrating eco-design into the curricula of higher education in design.
He is currently working on projects around new economic models (particularly life cycle and circular economy approaches), as well as design thinking for social innovation.
Pierre is based in Brussels, speaks French, English and Spanish fluently, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Rural Sociology from Cornell University (USA) and a Master of Business Administration from ESSEC (France).
